The Challenge:
As a Nuance Certified Gold Partner, KnowBrainer does $100k+ volume in Web sales each month, plus provides the largest online forum for NaturallySpeaking and other Speech Recognition issues. Orcutt Labs had to design a site that would support the basic Web presence, while enabling robust online shopping and user forums in a secure environment with real-time credit card processing. Orcutt Labs also had to create an environment friendly to disabled users.
The Solution:
KnowBrainer.com was completely rebuilt using ColdFusion, J2EE, Flash, SQL Server, and Flash Remoting. Real-time credit card processing was also implemented. New & improved user forums were launched, and extensive work was done to make the site search engine-friendly, boosting KnowBrainer.com to the top of Google. Additionally, Orcutt Labs provides the hosting for the site.
KnowBrainer.com is one of the largest Speech Recognition VARs, reselling and supporting not only Nuance's Dragon NaturallySpeaking product line, but KnowBrainer's own commands and vocabularies. The KnowBrainer products extend the capabilities of NaturallySpeaking, unlocking its full potential.
When KnowBrainer approached Orcutt Labs, KnowBrainer was in desperate need for a new Web site that would support their large online presence, while including new products, adding real-time credit card processing, positioning the site better for search engines, creating new branding and graphics, and launching everything in record time before an existing hosting contract expired.
